About
HOW WE STARTED
Coach Daniel Duron opened Pinnacle Martial Arts in February 2009 when he was still a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Most people thought he was crazy. Blue belts don’t open gyms.
But he had a vision: build a place where complete beginners could learn real martial arts without getting destroyed, and serious competitors could train hard enough to make it to the UFC or win world championships.
So he brought in a black belt instructor from Brazil, found a space in San Antonio, and got to work.
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT
Sixteen years later, we’ve become known as one of the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and boxing gyms in San Antonio.
Not because we had the fanciest equipment or the biggest space. Because we actually care about our students’ success and teaching them the best steps for real progress. Not stuff that doesn’t work.
Our instructors know what they’re doing. Our curriculum is built for real progress. And we treat beginners with the same respect as competitors.
WHERE WE'RE GOING
We’ve been doing this for 16 years, but honestly? We still think our best work is ahead of us.
We’re not interested in being the biggest gym in the city. We want to be the place where people actually learn, grow, and stick around because they want to — not because they’re locked into some predatory contract.
If that sounds like the kind of place you want to train, come check us out.
